Kenya and Cameroon qualify for the FIVB World Championship

Kenya and their West African counterparts in Cameroon have sailed through to the 2022 FIVB World Championship to be held in Poland and Netherlands.

Cameroon booked a slot in the global competition after being crowned 2021 African champions whereas, Kenya finished as the runners-up.

On Sunday, the two sides met in the African Nations Volleyball Championship final at Kigali Arena, Rwanda, and the West Africans won their third successive title.

Kenya fell 3-1 (21-25, 23-25, 25-15, 23-25) to their rivals.

The East African made it to the final after upsetting Morocco 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-11).

Cameroon also beat Nigeria 3-0 (25-13, 35-33, 25-13) in another semi-final encounter.

Meanwhile, Morocco finished third after thrashing Nigeria 3-1 (25-19, 25-17, 25-18).
