Kenya names final squad for Uganda World Cup qualifiers

Kenya’s head coach Engine First has named a final squad that will play Uganda in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers on Thursday at St. Mary’s Stadium, Uganda.

The Turkish included Nairobi City Stars midfielder Timothy Ouma Armenia-based Alwyn Tera and Georgia-based Amos Nondi, as well as the returning duo of Anthony Akumu and Eric Johanna.

Kenya is seeking its first win in the qualifiers having drawn and lost twice in the last four matches.

The first leg against Uganda ended in a stalemate draw in Nairobi and a win for Ugandans will boost their hope of cruising to the next stage.

In the same group, Rwanda will be hosting group leaders Mali.
