Do you think you can slap? Save your energy for winning trophies and earn a living as the promoters of Slap Fight announced that the combat sport will begin in Nigeria this October.

Mr Abdulrahman Orosanya, the Executive Director, TKK Sport, promoters of Slap Fight Nigeria made the announcement in Lagos in a statement.

The date is yet to be determined, however, the title-winning event will hold in December.

The sport had become famous in Russia, the US and other European countries. Orosanya noted that the competition would be in four categories: Middleweight, Lightweight, Heavyweight and Super Heavyweight.

He stated, "the rules of the competition is simple. Fighters compete with each other on the principles of the knockout stage.

"Two men stand face to face and take turns slapping one another with bare hands without head protection, the competitors take turns to slap one another hard around the face on the cheek with an open hand."

"The win is decided by a knockout or a judge's verdict," Orosanya concluded.
