The All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates in Kaduna state have expressed their support for Rotimi Amaechi, the minister of transportation. Bola Tinubu Amaechi's visit comes two days after Kaduna delegates excitedly pledged their support to another APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu. On Sunday, the transportation minister had a consultative meeting with the delegates. Nasir el-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna, addressed the delegates on their favorite presidential candidate during the event. The governor said the delegates made the choice to support Tinubu without listening to the other contenders. “I told you when you made that pledge to Asiwaju that others may not come, because of what you have done. You made that choice without listening to anyone else. Today you have seen the difference,” el-Rufai said. “You’ve heard Amaechi, you’ve seen what he has done. And he has brought a very strong security team. So you know what will happen with our security if he is in charge. Governor Amaechi has been sighted. You've heard his backstory and heard his pitch. So, what are your plans? "Who are you currently supporting?" Most of the delegates responded by chanting "Dan Amanar," Amaechi's traditional title from Daura, Katsina state, while others answered with "your decision." The governor clarified their position by asking again, "Are you supporting Dan Amanar?" and the majority said "yes." "I thought you stated you were backing Asiwaju," the governor responded. Some individuals believe that delegates will never see paradise. Because you say one thing now and do something else tomorrow. "You are the representatives. I only have one vote. You are the party's leaders in Kaduna. Whatever you decide, we will follow.
