A candidate sitting for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams in Tharaka Nithi County, Eastern Kenya, gave birth on Monday morning. She gave birth before the exams officially began, forcing her to do the exams in the hospital. The young lady is among 1,244 188 are sitting for KCPE exams. Other 1, 287,597 are taking KPSEA exams. Candidates in Class 8 took Mathematics in the morning and English language in the midday and will sit for Composition tests in the afternoon. Their sixth-grade counterparts started with Mathematics before taking English. Tomorrow KCPE candidates will sit for Kiswahili, Science, and composition, while their KPSEA counterparts will sit for Integrated Science, Kiswahili, and Kenyan sign language. While class eight candidates sit for social studies on the final day, their grade six counterparts will do creative arts and social studies.
