A Kenyan court has found a motorcycle rider guilty of raping his client in Dagoreti in Nairobi.
According to the charge sheet seen by the Standard Gazette, the court sentenced Erick Mburu Gathoni to 15 years imprisonment for the heinous act and three years imprisonment for assault. The sentences are to run concurrently.
The court heard that the victim took a motorcycle ride to a friend’s place, and halfway the trip, the accused slowed down near a forest where he took a knife, threatened and beat her up.

He attempted to run but was arrested and handed over to the police.
Six witnesses testified in the case.
