A Kenyan court has sentenced a man to a 15-year-imprisonment after he was found guilty of defiling his stepdaughter.
The accused committed the heinous act between March 2020 and May 2021 in Timau Buuri, West of Meru County, Kenya’s Upper Eastern.
The court heard that he repeatedly defiled her and threatened her with death if she reported the abuse.
“The prosecution through Prosecution Counsel Maina Kimaru, presented six witnesses, establishing the accused’s culpability beyond any reasonable doubt,” said the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP).
