The 2024/25 FKF Premier League pre-season transfer window closed at midnight on Monday, September 9, 2024, marking several clubs’ end of an active transfer period.
Shabana FC emerged as the most prominent player in the market, signing an impressive 14 new players while releasing 15 others.
Shabana FC’s aggressive recruitment drive included three signings from AFC Leopards, a strategic move aimed at bolstering their squad ahead of the new season.
Their other signings came from various clubs, reflecting a comprehensive overhaul.
At the same time, the club allowed 15 players to leave, with destinations ranging from FC Talanta, Gucha Youth FC, and Mara Sugar FC to Vihiga United, Samwest Black Boots FC, and Kisumu Allstars.
Mathare United also had a productive transfer window, bringing in 14 new players.
The club added talent from teams like Soy United FC, Kayole Youngstars FC, and West Kenya Allstars FC, alongside more established sides like Ulinzi Stars FC and KCB FC.
Mathare also parted ways with 13 players, a reshuffle intended to rejuvenate their lineup for the upcoming season.
On the other hand, Nairobi City Stars had a quieter transfer window, with only five signings. Their notable acquisitions include Sven Yidah, Brian Opinde, and James Ssemambo.
The club also offloaded six players, signalling a more modest squad adjustment.
