A multi-agency security team operating in Laikipia County, Kenya’s Rift Valley, on Thursday recovered four illegal home-made guns capable of firing.
“The support we received from members of public which led to the recovery of the firearms is highly commendable. We urge any person in possession of any illegal firearm to immediately hand it over to the security agencies,” said the police.
Elsewhere, the multi-agency security team conducting ‘Operation Maliza Uhalifu North Rift’ recovered 15 camels and four illegal firearms.
One G-3 rifle was recovered at Amoler Location in Pokot Central Sub-County, while three other rifles, which included an AK-47, M-16 and a Carabine MK-1, were recovered at Latakweny Village in Samburu North Sub-County.
