Fifty-eight detectives, on Thursday, September 8, 2022, completed an 8-week basic crime investigations course at the DCI Academy in South C, Nairobi.
The course aimed to enhance the officers' skills in managing a wide variety of joint criminal investigations, with emphasis placed on learning case preparation techniques and unique aspects of special topic investigations such as narcotics, property crimes, and crimes against persons.
In his remarks, the Director of personnel Gideon Kibunja, representing the Director General of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti, advised the course participants to aptly put into practice the knowledge and skills they had acquired in serving members of the public.
He further advised them to share the knowledge they had gained by cascading it to other officers in their respective areas of jurisdiction.
On her part, the Commandant DCI Academy, Ms. Gatiria Mboroki, commended the participants for undertaking the crucial program, which is key for every investigator in the field.
