The Kenya Air Force (KAF) on Tuesday, 21 December 2021, marked a new milestone following the inauguration of forwarding Operating Base, Narok (FOB Narok), south-west part of the country, by the Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF) General Robert Kibochi.

Narok FOB was established on 27 November 2018 and forms part of KAF's strategy in mission readiness through modernisation in ensuring a Premier Air Force that is responsive to the current and foreseeable security challenges and opportunities.

Later, the CDF commissioned a community water project and handed it over to local community leaders at Ole Tarkash Primary School in Narok County.

The project with a solar power pump has a water tower with two tanks, each storing 10,000 litres of water.

The project will benefit the local school and 1500 residents from the villages of Ole Tarkash, Osenetoi, and Ngaimurunya.

A community elder, Mr Peter Ngoitikio, who doubles as the primary school's chairperson, thanked the CDF for the community water project, adding that residents and their livestock within a 5-kilometre radius will benefit from the project.
