A 19-year-old woman stabbed his boyfriend to death in Mwea, central Kenya, over infidelity claims.
Jacklyn Wawira had a heated argument with his lover Erick Gitonga which later translated into a fight.
Wawira reportedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the 25-year-old lover to death.
Police recovered the used weapon at the scene, and the lady has since been arrested and is being held in a local police post awaiting arraignment.
Elsewhere, a 30-year-old man murdered his wife in the same area on suspicion of unfaithfulness.
The victim, Esther Wanjiku, was reported to have been cheating on the suspect, Antony Murage.
“The man has been accusing the wife of cheating. During a verbal exchange over the issue, the man became aggressive, took a kitchen knife and stabbed the lady several times,” said the local authority.
The suspect is also being held behind bars as police launch investigations into the matter.
