A four-year-old boy was burnt to death on Monday, October 10, 2022, in a fire incident at Nairobi's Mukuru slums.
When the fire started, Master Ray Nyamweya was by himself in the house.
His remains were discovered long after the fire had been contained. The remains have been moved to the mortuary while investigations continue.
The fire, whose origin remains unknown, also flattened dozens of structures, leaving many homeless.
Elsewhere, a two-year-old boy who had a digging hoe lodged in his head died at Kenyatta National Hospital on the evening of October 11, 2022.
According to the deceased's mother, her baby died on the surgeon's table.
The child was hurt while playing near his home with his siblings and friends. Reports indicate that one of the kids discovered the digging hoe and began chasing the other kids with it before allegedly hitting the two-year-old with it.
Scans revealed that the digging hoe had lodged in his head and brain.
Kenyans reacted angrily to the baby's death, accusing the hospital of negligence.©Standard Gazette, 2021.
