On Wednesday, a middle-aged man was lynched by a crowd in Siaya, defunct Nyanza province, after he allegedly killed his wife.
The public fished Odhiambo Achilla from his hideout after committing the heinous act, beating him mercilessly.
They also chopped off his legs and hands, leaving him gasping for his life.
Achilla was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment.
The couple was reported to have had a domestic altercation before the man killed his partner, Maureen Akinyi, and flee from the scene.
The local authority revealed that the suspect had called his mother and told her that he had killed his wife.
Their bodies are in the local morgue awaiting post mortem.
Elsewhere, a 34-year-old man killed his wife before hanging himself in Matunda area, Kenya’s Rift Valley.
The two had lived together for some time, and they had been having domestic conflicts.
Police have launched investigations into the matter.
