Kenya’s annual National Prayer Breakfast, scheduled for May 31, has been rescheduled for June 7.
The ceremony was postponed on Tuesday by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangu’la, who handles its preparation.
“We wish to Notify the Members of Parliament of Kenya, Members of the Press, and the General Public that the 20th Annual National Prayer Breakfast which had been initially scheduled for Wednesday, May 31 2023 has now been rescheduled to Wednesday, June 7 2023,” said Speaker Wetangula.
“Any inconveniences caused by the change of date is highly regretted,” added the speaker.
The theme of this year’s prayers, which are in their 20th edition, is “Reconciliation with God and with Man.”
President William Ruto, his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, and a slew of other top government officials will be among those in attendance.
