Kenyan Premier League side Ulinzi Stars FC has settled on Antony Kimani, famously known as “Modo”, as the new head coach.

Kimani will take over from Malala, who joined KCB FC.

Kimani has been out of the touchline since March when he was sacked by Bandari FC. He began as an assistant coach at the Dockers before being promoted to coach after the then Bandari’s coach Casa Mbungo left the club in 2022.

The tactician also had a stint at AFC Leopards both as an assistant and coach. Before the appointment, he was linked to a return to Leopards.

He is expected to bolster his squad ahead of the new season, which will kick off later this month.

Ulinzi finished at position nine with 34 points during the 2022/2023 season. Kimani hopes his new team will challenge for the trophy this season.
