Be professional, police urged

The Deputy Inspector General-Kenya Police Service, Mr Edward Mbugua CBS, OGW, NDC(K) has called on police officers to embrace professionalism and fidelity to the rule of law as they discharge their mandate.

Speaking on Monday morning during a pass out parade rehearsal for the Direct Entry Cadet Inspectorate Course No.1/2021 at the National Police College Main Campus Kiganjo, central Kenya, the DIG-KPS reiterated the service's commitment to safeguard, defend and protect the lives and properties of all Kenyans.

While reminding the Cadets of the numerous reforms that the service has undergone under the new constitutional dispensation, the DIG referred to the Cadets as 'products of a reformed police' syllabus on whose shoulders the most significant responsibility of transforming the service lies on.'

The parade rehearsal was in preparation for the graduation ceremony scheduled to take place on 20th January 2022.
