Body Of A Missing Teacher Found In A Nurse House

Police on January 1 found the body of a missing teacher in a house of a nurse in Nyamira county, southwestern Kenya.

The deceased identified as Ezekiel Nkeere Gitangwe went missing on December 30, 2022, as reported by his wife.

According to his wife Gladys Bonareri Achoki, Ezekiel was last seen dropped by a motorcycle operator.

Police said an intelligence report led to a search in Agneta Agwata's house, a nurse at Nyamaiya Health Center.

Police were forced to break into the home after knocking repeatedly without receiving a response, and it was there that they found the deceased's body concealed beneath a purple carpet.

The deceased's body was taken to the morgue pending a postmortem. The search for the main suspect is ongoing.
