Burundi’s Chief of Defence Forces pays courtesy call on his Kenyan counterpart Gen. Robert Kibochi
Chief of Burundi National Defence Forces, General Prime Niyongabo, visited Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF) General Robert Kibochi at the Defence Headquarters in Nairobi on Wednesday.
General Niyongabo was accorded full military honours including inspecting a Half Guard of Honour mounted by the Kenya Air Force.
The two Generals held talks on issues of mutual interest between the two militaries and explored viable areas of cooperation and partnerships on security matters.
General Niyongabo later held bilateral talks with the Cabinet Secretary for Defence Hon. Eugene Wamalwa in his office at the Defence Headquarters.
The official with his delegation also visited the Kenya Meat Commission in Athi River, Humanitarian Peace Support School and Defence Forces Technical College.
General Niyongabo is set to visit other institutions, of interest, affiliated with the Kenya Defence Forces and will also attend the closing ceremony of the ongoing Athletics Kenya Defence Forces Championship at the recently Commissioned Ulinzi Sports Complex-Lang’ata on Friday, 22nd April 2022.
