Terror suspect, Jackton Jacob Kanoti alias Abdul Hakim will remain in the police custody after Busia Court in Western Kenya rejected his bond appeal on Wednesday.
The suspect had been arrested on 18th December, 2021 and charged with several terrorist related offences following scrupulous investigations by the Busia based detectives. He was then handed over to the DCI’s Anti- Terrorism Police Unit.
Kanoti was presented before Busia Law Court and pleaded not guilty while appealing for his release on bond.
However, based on the gravity of his offences, the detectives prevailed upon the court against releasing the culprit on bond.
The case will be mentioned on February 3, 2022.
