Commander Combined Task Force 150 Visits Kenya Navy

Commander Combined Task Force 150 (CTF-150) Royal Saudi Navy Commodore Abdullah al-Mutairi, on October 11, 2022, paid a courtesy call to the Commander Kenya Navy Base Mtongwe, Brigadier Yahya Abdi, at the Kenya Navy Headquarters in Mombasa.

During the visit, the two leaders discussed enhancing Maritime Operations between Kenya Navy and CTF- 150 members.

CTF 150 is one of the three Task Forces operated under the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) – a multinational Naval Partnership of 34 Countries.

It conducts Maritime Security Operations in the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea, and the Red Sea to ensure that legitimate commercial shipping takes place in the region, free from non-state threats.

During the visit, the Kenya Navy Headquarters Chief of Operations, Colonel Michael Atodonyang, and the Commandant Kenya Naval Training College, Colonel Eliud Keter, were present.
