Commander Kenya Air Force Inspects Engineer Projects In Nanyuki And Laikipia

Commander Kenya Air Force (KAF) Major John Omenda inspected ongoing projects at Laikipia Air Base (LAB), Nanyuki Barracks, Mount Kenya, and Thigithu Primary schools early this week.

The projects, under construction by KDF Engineers Brigade, are part of ongoing preparations for KDF Day 2022.

KDF Day is marked annually on October 14 by Service Personnel to commemorate the sacrifice and valour of the fallen heroes and heroines.

During the visit, Commander KAF inspected the construction of a gate and renovation works of classrooms at the schools.

Maj Gen Omenda also inspected renovation works of the Corporal’s Mess and accommodation facilities, construction of ladies accommodation, Warrant Officers and Sergeant’s mess, Corporal’s and other Ranks Mess, main gate, monument, parade square, and aviation hospital, among others at the military cantonments.

Speaking to the contractors and foremen at the sites, Maj Gen Omenda applauded the work done so far and urged them to finalize the projects within the shortest time possible.

He also emphasized on high-quality standards of work during and upon completion of the projects.
