A Mombasa High Court has declined to unfreeze Pastor Ezekiel Odero’s bank accounts under investigation over cult killings in Shakahola Forest in Kilifi, the coastal part of Kenya.
Lady Justice Hon. Olga Sewe ruled that her court doesn’t have supervisory jurisdiction over Milimani Court, which had frozen Odero’s bank accounts.
She urged the Pastor to seek review/appeal over the same at the Milimani Court in Nairobi.
Odero had also filed an application challenging the suspension of the operations of his World Evangelism TV & Times TV stations by the Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK).
Justice Sewe ruled that the application was premature since she had been invited by CAK to show cause why the licences of the two stations should not be revoked.
“Conservatory orders are granted based on the inherent merit of a case, taking into account the public interest, constitutional values, proportionate magnitudes, and priority level related to the relevant case,” said Judge Sewe.
