Environment and Forestry Cabinet Secretary Keriako Tobiko is participating in the Ministerial Roundtable on Finance at the Africa Climate Week in Libreville, Gabon.
The meeting will explore actions being planned by countries to ensure that targets under the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) are supporting the long-term just transition to a greener economy.
The meeting will also look into the challenges in mobilizing and accessing climate finance at scale to support raising ambition and enhanced implementation of NDCs.
It will also examine other priority national climate plans and strategies and regional cooperation’s contribution to the effective use of carbon markets in the region.
