President William Ruto has appointed Daniel Katama Mwaringa as the Coast Water Works Development Agency board chairman.
In a Gazette Notice, Ruto revoked Omar Boga’s contract and replaced him with Katama. Boga had one year remaining in his contract.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 (3) of the State Corporations Act, as read together with section 66 (1) (a) and (b) of the Water Act, I, William Samoei Ruto, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, appoint- Daniel Katama Mwaringa, as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Coast Water Works Development Agency,” reads the notice.
Ruto also chose Judith Wabosha Mwamburi, Mohamed Masoud Mwahima, and Hafswa Abdalla Dele to serve on the board until July 25, 2024.
They replace Col (Rtd.) Hussein Ahmed, Rehana Ismail, Abdul Timimi, and Joseph Charo who were also axed from the board.
