The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is urgently seeking any information that could lead to the re-arrest of Collins Jumaisi Khalusa, a murder suspect who recently fled police custody.

Khalusa was scheduled to be charged with murder before escaping from custody on Monday, August 20, 2024.

According to the DCI, the suspect is believed to be hiding in his home area of Shiru Sub-location, Shaviringa Location in Hamisi Sub-county, Vihiga County, Western Kenya.

The agency has emphasized that any information provided will be confidential.

A substantial cash reward is offered to individuals who can provide credible leads that will result in Khalusa’s capture to encourage public cooperation.

“Anyone with relevant information can report anonymously through the #FichuaKwaDCI hotline at 0800722203.

The DCI has also opened its main police hotlines — 999, 911, and 112 — for tips or information on the suspect’s whereabouts,” said DCI.
