A 24-year-old woman is being held in police custody for killing his lover following a domestic squabble.
The incident transpired at Kapsoit trading centre in Kenya’s Rift Valley on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
According to the area residents, the couple had been cohabiting in a rented house at the centre and have been having issues.
The victim had relationship issues with her boyfriend after he hired some women to run his Lotto machines at the centre.
When the incident occurred, the deceased went up to where his girlfriend was running her Chips business in an attempt to find a solution to the problem.
But the woman reportedly turned on the man and stabbed him in the neck and chest with a kitchen knife she was using to peel potatoes, killing him on the spot.
After committing the heinous act, the woman fled the scene before surrendering to the nearest police station.
She is expected to be arraigned in court and charged with murder
