The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced new fuel prices for February 14-March 14, 2024.
In its latest review, the authority reduced the prices of Petrol, diesel and kerosene by Ksh1.
EPRA indicated that the new prices include the 16 per cent Value Added Tax (VAT) outlined in the Finance Act 2023 and the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2020 and the revised exercise duty rates adjusted for inflation.
“In the period under review, the maximum allowed petroleum pump price for Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene decrease by KShs.1.00 per litre respectively,” said EPRA.
According to EPRA, the mean landed expense of imported Super Petrol saw a reduction of 1.71%, decreasing from US$677.78 per cubic meter in December 2023 to US$666.16 per cubic meter in January 2024.
The cost of diesel experienced a decline of 3.08%, dropping from US$751.15 per cubic meter to US$728.03 per cubic meter.
Similarly, Kerosene witnessed a reduction of 1.
17%, decreasing from US$727.00 per cubic meter to US$718.51 per cubic meter.
