Equity Bank has announced a scheduled system maintenance that will temporarily disrupt its interbank money transfer services across several platforms.
In a notice to customers, the bank said the “send money to other banks” service on the Equity Mobile App, Equity Online, EazzyBiz, *247#, and Equitel will be unavailable from Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10:00 PM to Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 4:00 AM.
“All other services remain available,” the lender assured, apologizing for any inconvenience caused to customers during the six-hour maintenance window.
The bank also used the opportunity to remind customers to be alert against fraud.
“Please remember, Equity calls you from only ONE number: 0763 000 000. DO NOT engage with anyone asking for your personal banking details. Equity will never ask for your bank details, PIN, Password, OTP or Card information on phone or SMS,” the notice read.
