The former commissioner general of Kenya Prisons, Isaiah Osugo is dead.
Osugo breathed his last on Monday evening at Nairobi Hospital, where he was battling cancer.
Commissioner Osugo was appointed to the correctional department as the commissioner general of prisons in 2008 by late president Mwai Kibaki.
Previously, he served as the Nairobi provincial Criminal Investigations Department (CID) chief.
Osugo’s stint as commissioner general ended on March 19, 2019, opening the way for Wycliffe Ogalo to take over.
