A Kenyan court has sentenced an ex-police officer to life imprisonment after finding him guilty of shooting & killing his girlfriend in March 2019.
After considering all submissions, Kakamega Court Justice William Musyoka ruled that the 21 prosecution witnesses presented factual and far-reaching testimonies that proved APC Patrick Nyapara committed the heinous act.
Court further noted that the accused shot the deceased in the presence of their four-year-old child, to whom the trauma will not be erased.
"Being a matter involving a police officer, IPOA was involved and was led by Mr Rashid Wekesa. Both IPOA and DCI presented strong evidence," said the Judge.
