A 20-year-old female student was murdered, and her body dumped in a bush in Narok, southwest of Nairobi.
The body of Adah Nyambura Ameru, a student at Maasai Mara University, was found in the bush by members of the public.
“When police officers visited the scene they found the body of Adah Nyambura Ameru age 20 who is a first-year student at Maasai Mara University. The body was lying in a bush half naked with minor bruises on the face,” said Narok police boss.
According to a police OB report dated 15/30/04/2023, Nyambura was reported missing by her lover Brian Kimutai, a 23-year-old student.
Kimutai said Nyambura went missing on Saturday morning after partying at a local club.
The main suspects are motorcycle riders allegedly preying on university students returning home after a night of partying in nightclubs.
Crime scene investigators inspected the site, and the body was later transported to the morgue pending autopsy.
