Commonwealth Games and Africa 100 metres champion Ferdinand Omanyala lost the Memorial Borisa Hanzekovica title to American Marvin Bracy on Sunday evening, September 12, 2022.
The reigning champion finished third behind Bracy and European 100m bronze medallist Jeremiah Azu who finished first and second, respectively. Omanyala clocked 10.19, with Bracy winning in 9.97sec and Azu timed 10.14.
This is the second time Omanyala has lost to Bracy. The duo competed at the Spitzen Leichtathletik, a World Athletics Continental Silver Tour, on August 30 at Stadion Allmend, Lucerne, Switzerland.
