Kenya's First Lady Rachael Ruto on Monday inaugurated the Digital Literacy Program in Nairobi.

The program aims to equip women with the knowledge and digital skills required while promoting responsible e-waste management.

Its theme coincides with the 2023 International Women's Day theme of "DigitALL".
In a statement, the First Lady said in this age of digitalization, it is essential to equip women with digital literacy skills to bridge the gender gap and ensure inclusivity in digital age.

She said the rapid advancement of technology has transformed digital literacy into a necessity, and empowering women with digital skills is key to their personal and professional growth.
