Kenya's First Lady Rachel Ruto has voiced her support for The Africa Adaptation Acceleration Program, launched by the African Development Bank (ADB) and the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA).

The program's objective is to raise 25 billion US dollars for five years to speed up and scale up climate adaptation action across the continent. This goal will expedite the implementation of climate-smart digital technologies for agriculture and food security.

Additionally, it will scale up investments for climate-resilient urban and rural infrastructure in key sectors such as water, transportation, energy, and waste management for a circular economy.

The First Lady spoke at the Wangari Maathai Institute of peace and environmental studies in Nairobi during the SUPPORTING KENYA'S ADAPTATION Leadership summit.
