Five people were killed and scores injured in a fatal road accident in Kikopey along Gilgil-Nakuru Road, Northwest of Nairobi.
The accident occurred after a trailer driver lost control and rammed business structures along the busy road.
“Preliminary reports suggest that the driver who was heading towards Nakuru direction lost control and hit two male adult pedestrians killing them on the spot,” said the police.

“The same vehicle rammed onto iron sheet structures a few metres from the road killing three male adult persons who were inside playing pool table game.”
Among the dead are a truck driver and a conductor whose trailer was involved in the accident.
The deceased’s bodies were transferred to a local morgue pending investigations.
Meanwhile, efforts to arrest the driver of the ill-fated vehicle are underway after he escaped the accident scene.
