Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has collaborated with the Machakos County Government to build a Technical Center in Machakos.
Under the partnership, the county government will lease 20 acres of land in Machakos to FKF for 33 years to construct the centre.
FKF, on its part, will commit $4.5 Million from its FIFA Forward funds dedicated to the development of the project.

The facility will have one natural grass pitch, two artificial turf pitches, and an administration building with offices and meeting rooms.
FKF President Nick Mwendwa stressed the need for football infrastructure across the nation to facilitate all-around football development during his speech at the inauguration.
At the same time, he expressed gratitude to the Machakos County Government for cooperating with FKF on the sizeable project.
“If we are to develop our football wholistically, then we also have to develop our infrastructure. We have spent a lot hiring training venues for our national teams and special projects. This technical center will not only reduce our costs but also work towards giving our players a conducive environment to explore their potential,” said FKF President Nick Mwendwa.
