Ex Mungiki, militia group, Maina Njenga, was on Monday arraigned in Makadara Law Courts, Nairobi.
Njenga was charged with the possession of offensive weapons such as bows, arrows and machetes.
He was charged alongside his brother Peter Kamunya and guard Felix Lakishe.

The court was informed that on July 20, 2023, in Kiserian, Kajiado, west of Nairobi, the three were caught in possession of offensive weapons; 14 machetes, 24 swords, 46 rungus, and three jembe sticks, without reasonable explanation.
They were also charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and arranging an unlawful assembly.
They denied all charges.
Njenga was arrested last Wednesday and taken to a secret location, said his lawyer Ndegwa Njiru.
According to his family, he was at his father’s house when police in unmarked cars arrived and detained him.
