Granny Burns To Death Inside House

Police are investigating circumstances that led to the death of an 86-year-old granny in Koinange village, Nyandarua County, in Central Kenya.

The body of Grace Wanja was discovered by her grandson on Monday. The deceased's TV, lead-acid accumulator and gas cooker were found missing.
It is suspected robbers set her house on fire after making away with the above-mentioned goods.

Elsewhere, police in Kisii, southwestern Kenya, are holding a suspect accused of stabbing to death his friend.
Ishmael Machuki was reported to have killed James Manduku Mose with a knife after a disagreement over an unknown issue.

"The two are said to have disagreed over an unknown issue. This prompted the assailant to draw a knife before stabbing the deceased," read the police report.
