Five people have been confirmed dead and scores injured following a tragic road accident along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway in Timboroa, Kenya’s Rift Valley.
According to the police, three died on the spot, while two more succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The 1:40 am incident involved a bus and three other vehicles.

“National Police Service Officers from Timboroa Police Station are responding to a tragic road traffic accident that claimed 3 lives on 04/01/2024 at about 0140 hours at Mlango Tatu area along Nakuru-Eldoret Road,” said the police.
The injured were rushed to Eldama Ravine Sub-county Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s bodies are being preserved at the hospital morgue pending an autopsy.
Investigations are underway to establish the cause of the incident.
