Kenyan health workers have issued a two-week strike notice over what they termed as government failure to implement the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) signed some few years back.
Through their unions, the workers gave the government until July 14 to fulfil its promises to them, or else they will have to boycott their duties, a move that will paralyze operations in public hospitals across the country.
Addressing the press on Thursday, the Kenya Union of Clinical Officers (KUCO) Secretary General George Gibore blamed the government for the miseries of healthcare workers, saying they are the most frustrated lot.
They further asked the government to employ 20,000 healthcare workers as it promised.
