Italian President Sergio Mattarella landed in Nairobi, Kenya, on Monday evening for a three-day visit.
President Mattarella was received at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale and his Foreign Affairs counterpart Alfred Mutua.
The Italian Head of State is expected to hold bilateral talks with his host President William Ruto on various issues.
He is also expected to visit, among other places, the Luigi Broglio Space Centre in Malindi. The Centre is operated jointly by the Kenya Space Agency (KSA) and the Italian Space Agency.
Others present to receive President Mattarella were the Italian Ambassador to Kenya, Roberto Natali, his Deputy, Mr. Lorenza Gambacorta, and Italian Defence Attachè in Kenya, Colonel Mario De Rosa, among others.
