The Kenya Women’s U17 National Team, Junior Starlets, has intensified training in preparation for their upcoming two-legged second-round FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against DR Congo.
According to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), all players have reported to camp ahead of the qualifier.
The first leg is slated for February 4, 2024, in Kinshasa, DR Congo, with the return leg played one week later in Nairobi.
The overall aggregate winner will proceed to the third round.
Head Coach Mildred Cheche has exuded confidence in her team ahead of the two crucial matches.
“We have a good team that can compete against DR Congo. The girls came in ready, having previously been active in different tournaments like Talanta Hela and Chapa Dimba, which is a plus for the team preparations,” said Cheche.
