Kenya Air Force Senior Leadership Command Course Participants Graduate

Deputy Commander Kenya Air Force (KAF) Brigadier Peter Githinji, on Thursday, June 30, 2022, presided over a graduation ceremony for Senior Leadership Command (SLC) Course 91/22 at Laikipia Air Base (LAB), Kenya's Rift Valley.

The SLC course is intended to equip the participants with the requisite knowledge and skills to prepare them to be competent leaders and middle-level managers within Kenya Defense Forces.

During the 11 weeks of training, the participants covered various lessons, which included: leadership and Command at different levels, different drills, weapon handling, Map Reading and navigation, Effective Communications, Service Law, Security General and Global terrorism, Fire and Flights safety, Medical lessons among others.

During the event, Brig Githinji Congratulated all the participants and Instructors for their commitment and resilience, which enabled them effectively achieve the required training standards over time.

He encouraged the graduands to use the skills acquired in demonstrating leadership among their peers. "I am sure within the eleven weeks of your training, you've been able to acquire the necessary skills to transform you into effective leaders within Kenya Defense Forces," he said.

"This course also opens up your progression and
promotion opportunity as a career Service member, I wish you success in the same," added Brig Githinji.
