Kenya Airways donated a Boeing 737-700 aircraft to Mang’u High School on Wednesday to help with aviation education.
Mang’u High School is one of Kenya’s few public secondary schools that offers an aviation curriculum.
The aircraft was handed over during a ceremony presided over by Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Roads and Transport, Kipchumba Murkomen, and Kenya Airways Group MD and CEO Allan Kilavuka.
“Investing in education is investing in our nation’s future, and Kenya Airways’ generous donation of this aircraft to Mangu High School is a shining example of corporate social responsibility at its best,” said Kipchumba Murkomen.
Kenya Airways CEO Allan Kilavuka stated that the donation demonstrates the airline’s commitment to supporting educational institutions and fostering the future generation of aviators.
“This donation is true to our commitment to nurturing talent and driving economic growth, not only in Kenya but also in the broader African continent. We eagerly anticipate witnessing the profound impact this initiative will have on Mangu High school,” said Allan Kilavuka.
