Commander Kenya Army Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Peter Njiru, on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, led Kenya Army Formation Commanders in signing performance contracts for the financial year 2022/2023 at Headquarters Kenya Army in Nairobi.

Speaking during the event, Lt Gen Peter Njiru said the performance contracts will allow Formation Commanders to implement performance targets aligned to Kenya Army’s strategic plans and key priority areas.

”The contracts you have signed today are tools that will guide you through implementing your plans to attain the desired results. The contracts are also yardsticks of ensuring you utilize the resources allocated to you prudently,” said Lt Gen Njiru.

The Commander Kenya Army further urged the Formation Commanders to continue implementing plans and strategies that will ensure the Kenya Army delivers on its mandate of defending and protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kenya against land-based threats.
