Four Kenya Defence Force (KDF) officers lost their lives on Tuesday in a fatal road accident in Marsabit, the Eastern part of the country.
Reports indicate that the land cruiser in which the officers were travelling in lost control and rolled several times.
Three officers died on the spot, while the fourth one breathed his last in the hospital while receiving treatment.
Six others sustained severe injuries and were rushed to Marsabit Referral Hospital, where they are currently receiving medical conditions.
The incident came a few hours after a family of five people escaped death after their car veered off the road before bursting into flames in Embu, the same region.
The family was saved by good Samaritans who put out the fire and rescued the trapped passengers. They were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
The incident is attributed to the slippery road conditions occasioned by the heavy outpour in the East African country.
