Kenya men’s football team, Harambee Stars, head coach Engin Firat, on Sunday unveiled the 23-man squad for their upcoming friendly against Russia.
The squad comprises local and foreign players, with Vincent Harper and Rooney Onyango getting their first national team call-ups.
Brian Bwire of Tusker, South Africa-based Ovella Ochieng and Cliffton Miheso of AFC Leopards are all returning to the team.
The other foreign-based group includes Captain Michael Olunga, Masud Juma, Joseph Okumu, Brian Mandela, Johnstone Omurwa, Eric Ouma, Amos Nondi, Richard Odada, and Teddy Akumu.
The squad will travel on Monday, October 9, 2023, before camping in Turkey to prepare for this final friendly before their World Cup Qualifiers in November.
The friendly is set to be played on October 16, 2023, in Turkey.
