Kenya receives more AstraZeneca vaccines

Kenya has received an additional 1,462,409 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine in yet another boost for the ongoing accelerated Covid-19 vaccination drive.

The latest consignment brought the number of doses received in the country to 14,120,000.

The shipment was a donation from development partners, with Denmark donating 266,400, Belgium 445,300

Seven hundred fifty thousand seven hundred doses were received from Netherlands.

As of November 30, 2021, 7,063 927 doses had been administered, out of which 4,354,454 are first doses and 2,709 473 second doses.

The 9.9 percent of those fully vaccinated are adults.
