Kenya’s Ministry of Education on Friday released a school calendar for the year 2024.
According to the calendar, pre-primary, primary and secondary schools will open on January 8, 2024, and close on April 5 after a 13-weeks of learning.
The learners will have a 3-day half-term from February 29 to March 3.

The Ministry said the first term holiday will kick off from April 8-26.
The Ezekiel Machogu-run ministry stated that term two will run for 14 weeks, starting on April 29 and ending on August 2.
Then, the learners will also have a three-day break from June 20-23 before proceeding to a three-week holiday.
The third term will be the shortest, lasting only 9 weeks, beginning on August 26 and ending on October 25, 2024.
Learners will then take a December vacation before returning on January 3, 2025.
Exams for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and Kenya Intermediate Education Assessment (KILEA) will be held from October 28 to October 31, 2024.
The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations will be held from November 4-22, 2024.
